About Amazon Web Services

Amazon Web Services is a subsidiary of Amazon that provides on-demand cloud computing platforms and APIs to individuals, companies, and governments, on a metered pay-as-you-go basis.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, offering over 175 fully-featured services from datacentre globally

How Amazon Web Services integrates with Asite

Asite uses a multi data-center / cloud platforms approach across our global platform presence. AWS is one of our Tier-1 providers and is utilized heavily by Asite across multiple geographies.

Integration highlights

Secure and approved cloud environment: AWS Government Cloud Environment is utilized to manage Government project data on the Asite Platform.

Backup and disaster recovery plan: In the event of a natural disaster occurring, the Amazon S3 filesystem is utilized as an destination for backup data that might be needed quickly to retrieve data to its core system. This ensures that project data is not lost and is fully recoverable in a short period.

Content Delivery Network (CDN): Amazon CloudFront is utilized to securely deliver data, applications, and API to Asite users globally with low latency and high transfer speeds.

Storage: Asite enables two different types of storage solutions: local storage & AWS S3 Storage. For both storages, data replication is geo-redundant. Data is replicated synchronously to a Disaster Recovery site. AWS S3 stores data across multiple facilities before confirming that the data has been successfully stored.

This technology partnership with AWS enables Asite to manage storage securely and ensure that such data is always accessible using Asite whenever a user requires it.
